And the chess piece typing is epicly stupid
Knight: Normal/Flying
Rook: Normal/Rock is okay
Bishop: Normal/Psychic is okay
Queen: Normal/Ghost: the queen is such a troll she might as well be a ghost
King: just Normal: but with epic attacks

take note that
1. i considered flying type for a knight but honestly when was the last type you saw a winged pegasus for a chess piece
2. queen is the bamf of all pieces and is meant to destroy everything. (but a ghost/normal type would be epic. with only weakness as dark)
3. king is a derp piece- but i'm just giving him extremely high defenses since he can't ever actually be taken as a piece in actual chess, hence, nearly impossible to kill. works the other way too- if you only have a king left in your party, its pretty much as useless as an actual king on an actual chessboard if left alone - if you're lucky then you derp your way to victory, but that's how it usually works for most tanks (Blissey, Bronzong, etc.) which are extremely difficult to take down but also have a hard time taking down others.
